Hey Doodleplex, I'm the admin of the ES wiki. I want to thank you for the help editing those articles :D. Don't worry about grammatical issues, I'll try to fix them up. Also, let me know if I can help you in any way. Have a good day!
Hiya! I'm one of the admins on the English wiki and figured I could help with my limited Spanish to at least create the basic pages, if nothing else, since I felt so bad that this wiki barely has anything. I'm also going to try to see what I can do about creating some of the templates we use on the English wiki(at least the ones I'd be able to fix if they broke), like vendor merchandise and dialogue, here as well as that should help with a lot of NPCs. The only question I have for you is about NPC images. Since a lot of the NPCs have the same appearance/reuse the same in game model, we have a project on the English wiki that identifies which NPCs use which model, and then we pick one good picture for these NPC models and use them for all the NPCs that look that like particular model to make it easier to maintain NPC pages. If you would like I can do the same thing here, but I don't know if you have any particular policy or not to how NPC pictures should be. - Doodleplex 21:05 30 may 2017 (CEST)

As you can see, this wiki is pretty much dead. The last time we gathered a group of editors we were able to complete the skills and templates needed to display skills/traits related stuff, but everything else is on their bare bones. It was my intention to gather more people and keep working on it, but so far there is no interest from the spanish editors to pick up the proyect. I'll be around, however and help on anything I can while waiting for new editors to arrive. That said, there is no policy about NPC pictures so feel free to do the same here. If you think that's the best way to handle that data then please do it.
-By the way, I'm not sure what refaccion means, but if those NPCs are there to repair equipment, the spanish word would would be "Reparador".
Hey who knows, maybe this can jump start it a bit. =) And thank you on the word for repair. - Doodleplex 03:48 31 may 2017 (CEST)

I hope you are right. I can only use a small amount of my time in here (and it's 4am :( right now), but having the appropiate templates and examples of NPC pages could lead to potential editors to take a look and create new NPC missing pages.
-Also, your spanish is not that bad, but a common misstake you make is to fail on assigning the correct Male/Female name on context. It's quite complex but female names usually ends on "a", that's the main difference. (Male: Humano. Female: Humana.) (Male: Reparador. Female: Reparadora). Telling you trying to help, hope you don't mind.
Ah, okay thank you! And it's not really not that good, I have to use a translator fairly often to make complete sentences. And I should have known better on the gender, thank you for the reminder. =) - Doodleplex 04:12 31 may 2017 (CEST)

Grammar tips

Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 03:14 3 jun 2017 (CEST)
Small suggestion about your profile (it's bugging me to see it wrong each time I look at it, haha):
Hola: Yo soy Doodleplex. Mi español no es bueno (hablo inglés), así que discúlpame, pero probablemente cometeré algunos errores gramaticales.
Also, it's handy to know how to type Ñ or ñ characters without spanish keyboards. By using ASCII, just press left alt on your keyboard, then type 164 or 165 on the numeric keyboard (not above qwerty), then release alt. Hope this helps ♥
Ahh thank you for the translation and the tip. I knew there was a trick but couldn't remember how it worked heh. Anyway, the NPC and area infobox should be up to date more or less with what the English wiki uses so creating area & NPC pages should be much easier to do now. =) - Doodleplex 03:17 3 jun 2017 (CEST)

Yeah, I've seen plenty of updates on those templates, very nice job. I almost broke one by misstake, trying to add a translation on one of them, but I fixed my fail a few seconds later! I hope that didn't scare you :\ sorry. Also deleted the pages you marked to be removed from the wiki. Thank you again for your hard work, I'm going to bed for tonight.

Eternal battlegrounds

Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 03:10 4 jun 2017 (CEST)
Something worth to mention: Eternal battlegrounds has been wrong translated since the beggining in the game. It should had been "Campos de batallas eternos", but it was translated as "Campos de batalla eternos" ever since the beginning. I believe it will never change, and it's actually an acceptable translation (it doesn't creates conflict with the grammer). However, I'm just telling you so you know that translators will probably fail on there. The right name in-game is: Campos de batalla eternos
Edit: I think I broke the Tyria type. Continent in spanish is Continente.
Ahh okay. I created a template so that there can be a notice on pages that aren't correctly translated so others don't make the same mistake. Question though the word for item and the word for object appear to be the same thing in Spanish. Is there any other variation for the word item in Spanish? I don't quite like the object infobox being called "Elemento" and would prefer it being called Objeto and to change what the item infobox to something else if possible, or even perhaps just switch the two. - Doodleplex 05:15 4 jun 2017 (CEST)
Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 19:07 4 jun 2017 (CEST)
If your new template is suppose to say "Wrong translated" then it would be "Mal traducido". Right now "Traducir mal" means "to translate badly", which I guess is not the desired output. About the item/object question, it's true that spanish lacks of a word to differenciate those 2 words. We use "Objeto" for items that we know the name for it and "cosa" for items/objects that we do not know the name. I believe it's the same in English with the "thing" word, but that's about it, it's the only exception where items/objects aren't called "objeto". Elemento is just element/piece for something else mostly, it might work... maybe. An infobox could be an element of the webpage, in which case that context is correct, but the item inside the infobox should not be named elemento because is its own self. Sorry if this is confusing, it's quite hard for me to explain it in english.
Yeah I wanted bad translation or more specifically, mistranslated, and I was told that "traducir mal" meant mistranslated. And it's okay, I understand what you're trying to say. I like cosa much better than elementalo, especially when some of the objects we have found for the English wiki do not even have an overhead name and we had to improvise, so I think that would be a much nicer fit. Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 04:17 5 jun 2017 (CEST)
The correct words for mistranslated was indeed what I was guessing: "Mal Traducido". The person that told you about "Traducir mal" was wrong because "Traducir" is the basic form of a verb, which equals to the english "to X" verb. In this case "traducir" means "to translate", and any other verb would work the same way (beber: to drink. comer: to eat). In order to be accurate, "Mal traducido" means "wrong translated", which is the closest that we can get to the mistranslated word (we don't have one for it in spanish).
For the infobox, feel free to use "cosa". Although it literally means stuff/thing, it should be fine to not confuse items with objects.
Ah the irony of getting a bad translation for "mistranslated". And I will use cosa, thanks for the help! - Doodleplex 20:24 5 jun 2017 (CEST)

Python script

Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 04:10 8 jun 2017 (CEST)
Hey Doodlepex, my life will be very busy for the next weeks, so I though on how I could help you and figured out that all translation of pets names or descriptions could come handy for you. But why to stop on just pets? I am a python coder on my free time so I made a script for you that requests Anet databases and retrieves the desired information (events, items, achievements, etc). So consider this a present for you :D (By the way: It's totally safe and secure, but feel free to use or not use at your own will). I encourage you to see the attached examples to see the result.
Script : Download
Examples: Achievements, Titles and Worlds
Requirements: Need to install the Python Programming Language, Version 3.5.2 to execute the script.
Instructions: Install Python, download the script and put it on a folder on your computer. Then right click on the script and click on EDIT with IDLE. Read instructions at the end of that file. Execute it and have fun. The output will appear as a textfile next to your script file. I encourage you test it with the "pets" database to see how it works.
Bonus: You can pretty much instantly get descriptions and translations of anything to also DE, FR for other wikis. And the best thing is that it's Anet own translation, so there is no room for human failure there :P
This is a powerful tool but coded with rush, it may fail on some API endpoints. Let me know if you have questions about it or needs something to be fixed.
Ooooo thank you! This will be extremely helpful! Also since there seem to be a few spam bots recently, if you would like I can give you some of the auto abuse filters/settings from the English wiki which might help stop the recent spam bots. Also, if you have the chance I need you to change the protection on Plantilla:Tl to allow registered users to edit it. It's not an urgent matter, but it's not working correctly and I can't edit it due to it being sysop edit only. - Doodleplex 20:29 8 jun 2017 (CEST)
Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 02:41 9 jun 2017 (CEST)
Yeah the Spam bots are annoying. UStéphane Lo Presti cleaned up the filters and added new ones a few years ago, but they seem to be failing lately. Please let me know how the wiki filters work or how to add new ones (It's something I've not done before). Also, The Plantilla:Tl template protection has been changed.
Ahh thank you! I sent you an email about how to possibly deal with the spam bots since, I'm pretty sure the auto abuse filter will prevent me from posting it here, so check your email(might wind up in spam due to text). - Doodleplex 03:01 9 jun 2017 (CEST)

3 things:
1 - I updated the script to let you choose what value you want to recover (description, level, rarity, population, icon, etc) from the GW API, and fixed a bug in it. Please re-download it.
2 - Do you need Atributo:Tipo_de_elemento deleted? It's marked to be deleted but merely as a comment (that confused me).
3 - Mail received (yup, it was on Spam folder). I updated 1/3 of the filters, the other 2 are yielding syntax error.
1 will check that out shortly, thanks!
2 not yet, waiting for the wiki cache to catch up, that's why I put it in comments
3 I'm not sure why it would cause a syntax error, might be best to email Stephane and ask if he can go just update everything in general since he probably knows better than you and me. - Doodleplex 04:00 9 jun 2017 (CEST)

Bots

Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 16:42 10 jun 2017 (CEST)
Good morning :P I have two tips for you today. 1- Crafting is translated as "Artesanía" (Artesanías in plural), not "Plantilla:Disciplinas". 2- The word "excepcionale" doesn't exists in spanish, it's either Excepcional (for 1 item) or Excepcionales (on plural, for several items).
Btw, I managed to program a bot, and I'll see if I can get to fill the wiki with data extracted from the API. Let me know if there's any concern about it. My first and only experiment so far has been to see if it could create the pets missing pages.
Ah woops, my bad then, will try to fix those. And bots are fun! If you need help lemme know, or ask Chieftain Alex on the English wiki as he's very good with them. - Doodleplex 20:09 10 jun 2017 (CEST)
Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 04:04 14 jun 2017 (CEST)
The bot is now adding the interwiki to ALL the items of GW2 that have a page on this wiki, but are missing the interwiki links. It's already doing it as seen in this [[1]] but due to it's code it will always check if not "[[en:" or "[[de:" or "[[fr:" code is on the page. It won't work for pages with wrong interwiki links, but at least it's some work removed from us. And the script can be run any day from now on. I will probably run it on a monthly basis. I could tell the bot to create the pages for missing items but that would had create 56.000 pages, and most of them are only historical items so it's not worth it in my opinion. Any clue on how to filter out the "useful" items from the API?
Not a clue, sorry. =( Ask Chieftain Alex on the English wiki, he might know. - Doodleplex 04:08 14 jun 2017 (CEST)

New Toys

Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 02:13 13 jun 2017 (CEST)
New toys. Stephane made me Bureaucrat on this wiki, so now I can edit permissions. So... I just added you to the "can edit widgets" permissions. This should help a lot, specially since I'm 2 weeks away from being too busy to even come here daily.
Lovely. If you could make me patrol as well, that should help my moving images, templates, etc. and give you less to delete. Also to explain something you said on your talk page, the English wiki recently somewhat recently started a project to have the api map show exactly where an NPC was, I imagine that's why you saw some for NPCs. However, I didn't include that bit of code on NPC caja since at the moment the focus should be creating pages than worrying about fancy coordinates for NPCs, so for now don't worry about the NPCs being there. - Doodleplex 02:22 13 jun 2017 (CEST)
Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 03:13 13 jun 2017 (CEST)
By the power grant by Aurene and Anet, you shall now be a Patrol!
Aurene is bestest cutest dragon ever! <3 (Thank you!) - Doodleplex 03:14 13 jun 2017 (CEST)

Regalo de Fortuna

As a heads up, the API has it named as Don de la suerte. - Greener 05:30 16 jun 2017 (CEST)

Since it's a "can only be pinged if you have it" item, I'll find out for sure once I make it for Ad Infinitum. - Doodleplex 20:16 16 jun 2017 (CEST)
Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 01:25 24 jun 2017 (CEST)
All "Regalo de" were changed their name to "Don de" because gift it's both "regalo" and "don" in spanish, and it was mistranslated at the begining. So the correct answer is what Greener said. Also, worth to mention that any item at the API is correctly translated due to being the own Anet scripts requesting information from the game. So if there's doubts about any item you can always check for its ID in the english wiki and then add the parameter "?lang=es" at the api address.
Ahh okay, thanks for the heads up! - Doodleplex 01:26 24 jun 2017 (CEST)

Offline time

I will be out of town for like 2 weeks, so I'm unable to help for that time (and these last days I was preparing for it, sorry for the lack of activity), but feel free to use my discussion page (or this section) for anything that you need and I'll reply as soon as possible. Imagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 01:29 24 jun 2017 (CEST)

Will do! - Doodleplex 01:31 24 jun 2017 (CEST)
Bad news and good news. Bad: Shit happens so I couldn't go out of town. Good: I created a very handy tool to quickly iterate on all the wiki pages and replace stuff. Must be used carefully so I'll keep the code to myself, however you can ask me to use it following the instructions here: Usuario:Saelyth/BotImagen de Aens :DSaelyth/Aens (Admin) discusión - 03:12 28 jun 2017 (CEST)
I'm sorry you couldn't go out of town, but the but I'll keep it in mind, thank you. =) - Doodleplex 03:27 28 jun 2017 (CEST)
